Thank you everyone for a great first half of our 2005-2006 school year. From presentations at Symposium to overnight adventures to intense literary discussions to weekly journal letters, this has truly been an amazing year.
Over the Winter Break please do the following:
- read (anything)
- exercise (get outside)
- talk with your parents/friends about current events
- if possible, watch one of the following movies related to our Holocaust Unit (Life is Beautiful, The Truce, Jakob the Liar, The Pianist)
- send me an email over the break about a new book you are reading or interesting current event you learned about.

Looking forward: the final week
A well deserved break is coming up from our intense study of the Holocaust: a field trip on Wednesday, December 14. Pending the completion of the re-write of the Night essays, students will be invited to lunch and a movie. In conjunction with our Music of the Week, Johnny Cash, we will view "Walk The Line" and have lunch at the East Side Kosher Deli. For the movie and lunch, $15 will be required. We will get a group rate for the movie.
